Bank and credit card reconciliation, every account, every month
We reconcile your books against your bank and card statements to find missing transactions, duplicates and recording errors, so the cash in your books is the cash in your accounts.

Reconciliation is not importing transactions
Bank feeds are convenient, but they only bring transactions in. They don't catch a deposit entered twice, a fee that never imported, or a check recorded for the wrong amount. Reconciliation starts from the statement's ending balance and proves, item by item, that your books agree with it.
When the books reconcile, you can trust the cash balance, your profit is based on complete records, and your tax preparer doesn't have to redo the work.
What reconciliation usually uncovers
Duplicates
The same deposit or charge recorded from the bank feed and again by hand.
Missing transactions
A transfer, fee or check that cleared the bank but never made it into the books.
Wrong amounts or dates
Typos and transactions recorded in the wrong month, which throw off both periods.
Old uncleared items
Checks that were voided or never cashed, still sitting in the books years later.
Personal transactions
Charges on a business card that belong to the owner, recorded as business expenses.
Edited reconciled months
Changes made after a month was reconciled, so the books no longer match the statement.

Bookkeeping questions
Bookkeeping reports are management reports for running the business and preparing tax returns. They are not audited, reviewed or compiled financial statements; those are separate engagements.
