Accessibility

How we make this website usable for as many visitors as possible.

Last updated: September 9, 2026

What we're doing

OICPA wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. We are working on an ongoing basis to improve the accessibility and usability of this site.

Standard we target

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, a widely accepted standard for web accessibility. This is a goal we are working toward, not a certified conformance claim - an independent accessibility audit has not yet been performed on this site.

Measures we have taken

  • A "skip to main content" link for keyboard users at the top of every page
  • Semantic heading structure and landmark regions to support screen reader navigation
  • Visible focus states and keyboard-operable navigation, forms, and interactive components
  • Descriptive alt text on informational images
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and background on primary content
  • Form fields with associated labels and error messaging

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of this site may not yet be fully accessible - for example, third-party embeds (such as the map on our contact page) are controlled by an outside provider and may not fully meet the same standard. We are working to address known limitations as we identify them.
